When You’re the Only One in Your Corner

There are going to be times in life when no one is standing in your corner cheering you on. When every obstacle in front of you appears bigger than any possible answer you can come up with.
And here’s the thing. I’ve had those times too. I’ve looked at where I was and where I wanted to be and wondered how I could possibly get from one to the other. I didn’t always have the resources I needed, the education, or someone telling me I could do it. But I kept trying anyway.
Not because I always felt confident. I didn’t. I just stopped overthinking everything and let myself make mistakes. And I learned something important along the way.
It’s when you make mistakes that believing in yourself matters most. You simply tell yourself, I’m not giving up today no matter what.
Then tomorrow, you tell yourself the same thing. Soon, momentum begins to build, and you find yourself a little closer to whatever you're trying to achieve.
So, if you are at a point in your life where the obstacles seem larger than the answers, keep looking for the next small thing you can do. Believe in yourself enough to keep trying, even when you are the only person standing in your corner.
